Distance- Not Very Far!!!         Ave Speed - Computer Drowned!!

On a very windy morning just four wheelers and the vets group made it to Withy Trees.  Jose Pinon-Shaw, Matt Stell, Dave Littlefair and myself Matt Hoyles (Eddie Stobart) who Dave kindly mentioned is looking a bit porky!! cheers buddy!!

Well we set of up the A6 towards Garstang with the final destination being Silverdale. We had an amazing tail wind and we soon turned off towards Cockerham. By this stage it was clear that the weather was going to be against us today. The heavens opened and soon had us wishing that we had stopped to put on our water proofs when it first started spitting. But on we pressed hoping it was just a shower. It was at this point that Stelly's bike began to make a awful rubbing. Just a mud guard rubbing we thought until we finally saw a spoke flailing around the wheel.

After pulling into a farmers gate to mend the problem we then had the even worse prblem as to working out how a spoke key actually works!! we must have looked so silly. 4 cyclists all trying to unscrew a very bent spoke in the pouring rain! After a while of trying Stelly decided that he had spent enough time trying and just snapped the spoke. So much for tools eh Matt!! By this stage we were all very wet and to be honest not in the mood for much more so we headed of to Scorton to let the shower pass before venturing out. Shame it never passed so in the end we all pottered back down the A6 into a blinding head wind to get home just in time to have some dinner made for me ;-) the joys of still living at home!! Cant wait to see everyone out again soon. Bring on the 2006 season!!!!
