Out today was Me (GeeDee)Ric, JoeD MickB, MattH and Scruff

Set off from Withys at 0913am, the usual route to Longridge,then out to Marl Hill (easy side) Scruff and Ric 1st to the top, Scruff turns round to see where we are.
Then it's the Wheelers unofficial freewheel competion - Gethin wins 2mile 24feet 2cms, 2nd I think MickB or Ric to be decided JoeD 3rd me and Matt peddled but reached 46mph in the dip,
After all the excitement it's over to Tosside, where Gethin rides up to the junction in TOP gear - whats all that about
Over to Tosside where Gethin takes a right to get back to Bolton By Bowland road, MickB pushes on and we never see him again till Settle.Oh by the way the pace went up somewhat as we averaged 22mph trying to catch MickB after Rathmell.
Lunch in the Settle Down Cafe (very welcome) after it's up Buckhaw Brow to Clapham, then to High Bentham oh yes 2nd incident of road kill a very large young Deer (that's the animal type not the old lady type) 1st one being a squirrel.
Then onto Quernmore with a short stop for our snap on top of that little b****** of a hill near the turn offto Quernmore.
On to the A6 when we spot the Ribble Valley lasses and lad, now the last time I went that fast down the A6 was on the Reliability Ride with Dave Hilton and co.
Back home for a well earned brew and hot bath.
