 SATURDAY 25th JUNE 2005 - TEESIDE
Wow
what a brilliant season this is turning out to be. All of the wheelers riders are showing brilliant form and its still only June!! This event was held of a section of the A19 in the Teeside District. The course itself was a 2 lap affair which even included a right hand turn!! The weather on the day was fairly warm and sunny with a strong breeze blowing. The first leg was heading south on the A19 which was super fast. It was only when you went around the turn that you realised that there was then a head wind!!! It was brilliant to see so many Wheelers riders yet again competing in a National Championships. Gethin Butler raced round to an amazing time of
01:46:36 at a speed of over 28 mph to take the silver medal position on the day. John Morgan was the second fastest wheeler with a brilliant time of 01:51:56 to take 18th place on the day. Paul Fleming yet again proved he is flying at the moment with a time of 01:54:27 to take 27th place. Dave Littlefair was next with a cracking time of  01:57:37  to take 41st place to prove he is going to be a contender in the longer distances this year. I was the final wheelers counter with a time of 2.00.15 to take 51st place. This is a new PB time for me as well so i was really pleased. Can i just say thanks to everyone who rode and for all the support from everyone for making it a brilliant event. I must also congratulate Gethin for a brilliant ride and say that i am now very scared about riding this 4 up!!!
