During May many of the Wheelers riders have taken part in both the National 10 and 25 mile championships. First were the National 10 mile TT Championships which were held on May the 22nd on the J7/8 near Nantwich in Cheshire. It was a very windy day with changing conditions through out the event. Some of us got rain others got strong wind etc. The fastest wheelers rider was, yes you guessed it, Gethin Butler with a brilliant time of 21.04 which put him in 12th place. Next was John Morgan with 21.27 to put him in 25th place overall. Myself (Matt Hoyles) with a time of 22.18 was closely followed by Paul Fleming with a time of 22.24. This put us in 59th and 67th place respectively. The final Wheelers rider was Dave Littlefair who came home with 22.54 to take 102nd place overall. 2 weeks later and we all made the trip down to South Wales to ride the National 25 mile TT held on the R25/3G on June 5th. Fastest on a very windy day was Gethin Butler with a time of 50.18 to take 5th place. The second wheelers rider was Paul Fleming with a time of 54.43 to take 60th place overall. Myself (Matt Hoyles) did a time of 56.20 to take 91st place on the day. Dave Littlefair also made the trip and did a time of 56.27 to take 97th place on the day. We also broke the club team 25 mile TT record which was a brilliant achievement on such a windy day. Can I thank everyone for their support and good wishes at these events and I look forward to seeing everybody at the National 50 TT Championship later this month in the Teeside area. Good luck to everyone for the rest of the season.
