Distance- 65Miles        Ave Speed - 17.2 ave

On the ride today was myself Matt Hoyles, Gethin Butler, Dave Littlefair, Jose Pinon Shaw, Joe Doolan, Mark Bolton and also Rick Holmes. After meeting in our normal space at the Withy's we set off down Boys Lane and out to Hambleton. At this stage it was clear to see that todays ride was going to be fairly fast. We then headed through alot of different country lanes before riding to Scorton where the older group were just leaving. After a re-fueling stop of hot chocolate and toasted tea cakes we set off through the Trough. The pace was still high but with the weather being so nice we were soon sweating as we entered the base of the main climb. As always we re-grouped at the top and took a picture to prove we all made it!!! From there we all had a super fast descent off the climb. We headed toward Whitewell at a super fast pace considering the head wind. It was just as we were climbing out of Whitewell that we noticed some riders ahead or as we call them "carrots". We soon brought them back and therefore we had caught up to the older group. From there we pottered into Scorton where Dave was easily beaten for the sign!! ;-) After locking our bikes up at the pub we went in find a seat and get in our first drinks of the day. After many pints or cordial we headed off into the Cobble Corner for what was a beautiful meal. After many laughs we set off on our ride back home. This was slightly delayed when Rick could not get his combination lock working. The only problem was that all of our bikes were locked up with it!!! By this stage it had began to go dark so all our lights were switched on. After dropping Dave off near his house we all made our way back into Preston before we all yet again split. Can i just say thanks to Joe Doolan for getting me back to Kellys in one piece. I had a brilliant day out with brilliant company etc. I would also like to thank Roy for organising such a brilliant ride and lunch yet again. ;-)
